The sky opened up

and rained down

on an already drenched earth.

Drop by drop

the unwelcomed rain

drenched the farm land,

as it swelled over into ponds and rivers.

The birds singing

their sweet tune could not save

the corn or vegetation,

drowning in agony.

Rain, you are sometimes a blessing –

but today, you are anguish,

for the Farmers are not dancing

they are pacing as their crops drown.

But, as some crops die out

the rainbows come,

and God sends rainbows

to remind us of His promise,

His promise to not harm us,

but to help us prosper,

and with this the farmers danced!
