The Promise

She was giving up on His promise! She walked into the store, cane in hand leaving her walker behind – and ten steps into it she knew the idea was bad. She looked around the store for help, but it was too busy, so she busted forward calling on Him for strength. She heard His whisper “I’m doing something really big in you”! “Do not give up nor give in”. She hobbled through the store, sore hip, sore ankle and she pursued her quest to get groceries and leave. Staring at the door, she made it through and out to the car. The grace, His grace keeps her going. She looked up at the sky and shouted “I’m not quitting”, but I’ve got to hold onto you, you’re all I’ve got!
She watched a girl swiftly walk into the store, and suddenly she busted open like a damn breaking, swelling and bursting and she wept, grieving the day when life was easy and pain free. She felt His embrace as He busted through her heart brokenness and He filled her with joy. His love poured onto her and she knew just how big this healing was! He was doing really big things, and as she softly spoke those words, He turned and said

“I AM your God, wait for something big, I will never fail you.

There lives will be like a well watered garden, never again left to dry up. Young women will dance and be happy, young men and old men will join in. I’ll convert their weeping into laughter, lavishing comfort invading their grief with joy. Jeremiah 31:13-14 Msg
