And this season is not about Black Friday or the tons of gifts you need to buy, it’s about simplicity and traveling back to that one gift we need and adore. One gift, one love, one grace, the only way to think Christmas,
And if you were told to go to see this miracle, this beautiful boy who would save the world, would you? Would you go see Him instead of buying gifts?
Would you leave your home knowing that the mountainous terrain, crossing the Jordan River and being subjected to the cold Winter nights would be miserable?
And when you’d get there, and you’d see the beauty in the evening, the serene presence of this tiny infant, this baby boy that would take your breath away in all His beauty, you’d surely know, yes! He truly is the son of God, this is the only gift I need!
And from that moment on you’d believe, and your heart would be filled with a love so full, you couldn’t explain it. You could only tell others of all you saw in this baby, this Jesus, and everyone would see it on your face, that you indeed saw the one true king, the Son of God. And everyone you told would be in awe and would want to see this Jesus too, and they’d seek Him out until they found Him.
Only you don’t have to look because He’s right here, right now! Jesus is right here,
You’d want to tell everyone of this tiny miracle, and you would, and because you did, Jesus would grow up and have followers all over the world – because you stopped at nothing to tell everyone of this miraculous birth and baby Jesus, who would someday save the world!
This gift of Jesus, this tiny miracle in a baby boy, is the only gift full of grace we need!
