He stood there holding a sign, it simply read “For You”, and as he turned to walk away he bent down and picked up his bag, his heavy load and on He went. He didn’t ask for anything, only for us to hold him in our heart. On he went and with each step his baggage grew heavier with each person he passed, until he reached his journeys end. It seemed as if he removed the turmoil of each person He passed. We found out later that day that He had died for all of us, and we became consumed with grief.
The day after his death we longed for him, missed his presence so, and when we searched the bag he had carried, the one he left behind, it was empty, yet the imprints left on the inside of the bag read sorrow, grief, sins, suffering, pain and the list went on and on. He had all our heavy burdens with him, he took them with him, left nothing behind! The next day He rose from the dead and replaced all the people’s heavy loads with a joy that no words could explain.
Everyone who knew and believed in Him knew that they would see Him again. He had invited them to His house, His paradise in heaven! No longer would they have to suffer, for through Him they were saved!
Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders— he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin. Psalm 55:22 AMP
